Remembering September 11

As we approach the 10th year of the 9/11 attacks this weekend – specifically on Sunday – I cannot in my heart call it an anniversary -because to me an anniversary is a happy occasion and celebration. This is not that in any way, shape or form. This is a remembrance and reminder of a horrific attack on our nation. Thousands of people, including my family, lost members of their family and lost many dear friends on that horrible day. We must be reminded of this event and ensure that we as a nation not forget this day ever and be aware and vigilant in our efforts to thwart any future attacks on our nation. Thank you to all of our military personnel, federal agencies, first responders and all law enforcement agencies across the country for everything they do to keep us safe.
